1. Calypso is a sea nymph. A nymph is a mythological spirit of nature imagined as a beautiful maiden inhabiting rivers, woods, or other other locations.
2. Calypso's name mans to hide, to conceal or to cover.
3. Her father was Atlas and her mother was most likely Tethys. Atlas was the leaders of the titans who fought against the gods.
4.Calypso only lives on the island of Ogygia because she was considered a servant of the island. Her father Atlas, the leader of the Titans, kept Calypso to work on the island because he was always at war.
5.Calypso's symbol is a dolphin.
6.Calypso keeps Odysseus hostage on her island of Ogygia for seven years and tries to make him her immortal husband.
7. While Odysseus is on the island with Calypso for seven years they sleep together and Odysseus tells her she is more beautiful than his wife Penelope.
8. Calypso possibly had two kids with Odysseus. Their names were Nausithous and Nausinous.
9. Odysseus tries to leave Calypso's island to go back home to Ithaca, but Calypso won't let him until Zeus sends down Hermes, the messenger god, to make her release him.
10. When Odysseus leaves Calypso to go back home she is so upset that she tries to kill herself. This doesn't work. It only causes her great pain because she is immortal.

Explanation
I used the teal writing for Calypso's name because she lives on an island and it reminds me of water. I made it sparkly because it attracts your eye just like how Calypso attracts Odysseus' eye. I chose this music for Calypso because it sounds like a beach and it could be the shore of Ogygia, the island where she lives.
